Etihad Airways has introduced more competitive business class fares across its long-haul network. The carrier has responded to returning confidence in the region with pricing that has eased from recent elevated levels. Gulf carriers have used strategic pricing to stimulate demand and maintain momentum through their hubs.

Premium cabins have remained busy with strong load factors despite the more competitive offers. Airlines have not discounted because cabins were empty but to stay competitive as the market has rebalanced. Etihad has also expanded its network with new routes including Charlotte in North Carolina and increased frequencies to destinations such as Dhaka and Kabul.
