Developers have planned more than two hundred hotel openings throughout Spain in 2026 with several luxury properties among them. Projects have included five star establishments in Madrid, Mallorca and Seville that have targeted both domestic and international guests. Chains such as Meliá, Hilton and independent boutique operators have driven the expansion.
The wave of openings has reflected sustained demand and investment in the hospitality sector following record visitor numbers. New properties have focused on urban centres and coastal destinations with emphasis on sustainability and premium experiences. Preparatory work has advanced on multiple sites nationwide.
