Dromoland Castle hotel achieved record revenues of €31.41m in the last year, marking a 12pc increase from the previous year.

Accommodation income last year increased by 15pc to €17.45m while food and drink income increased marginally to €10.73m.

Average room rates reached between €790 and €3,500 per night, with room income increasing by 15pc.

The newly opened Dromoland Lodge has seen significant demand, achieving 85pc occupancy shortly after launch, with room rates of €5,500 per night to €32,000 per week to rent out.

Despite challenges such as increased payroll costs and construction expenses, the hotel is focused on staff retention and further investment in property enhancements.

General Manager, Mark Nolan, shared: “The real eye opener was the average room rate, which was very strong. During the high season this ranges from €790 per night for entry level accommodation to €3,500 for top, top suites. Response to the new Dromoland Lodge has been beyond our wildest dreams. It only went to market in May and in July we had 85pc occupancy. It is a stunning property and is for people who want to experience everything that the estate has to offer and they have their own added privacy.

“Keeping our people is key because to train them to our level, we just can’t let them walk out the door and we will do everything we can to retain them,”
