The Grace hotel, located within Westport Estate, is set to open in Spring 2026, contributing up to 170 jobs during its development and operation.
The hotel will feature 129 bedrooms, dining options, a wedding venue, and a spa and wellness centre, all designed to reflect the unique character of the estate.
It forms part of a broader transformation of the 430-acre estate, which includes restoring Westport House and creating new visitor experiences tied to the region’s cultural and historical heritage.
Future developments at the estate include interactive tours and landscape projects that aim to enhance the connection between visitors and the history of the area.
Ciaran Reidy, General Manager of The Grace, shared: “When we open in Spring 2026, our focus will be on creating an authentic Irish experience, blending luxury at ease with a genuine sense of place. Everything from the design to the hospitality reflects the estate’s unique character and the spirit of the West. Our goal is to create a space where guests feel the richness of Mayo’s culture, landscape, and people. This project will bring meaningful employment opportunities and contribute to the local economy in a sustainable way.”
Barry O’Connor, CEO of Westport Estate, shared: “The Grace plays a central role in how we’re reimagining Westport Estate. This is a special part of the world, and our goal is to create a space where guests feel the richness of Mayo’s culture, landscape, and people.”
Cathal J Hughes, Director of Westport Estate, shared: “As the hotel becomes a reality, we’re mindful of the role it plays not just in welcoming visitors, but in supporting the community here in Mayo.
