Tourism Ireland has completed a floating roadshow on a cruise ship along the Rhine River.
The event visited nine cities including Cologne, Bonn, Koblenz, Mainz, Mannheim, Speyer, Karlsruhe, Wiesbaden, and Bingen. Over 600 German travel agents, tour operators, and media participated while 22 Irish tourism companies joined the mission to promote Ireland.
A new direct flight from Frankfurt to Shannon starts in April to improve access.
Nadine Lehmann shared “Our ‘Floating Roadshow’ provides an excellent platform for our 22 industry partners from Ireland to meet, and do business with, over 600 German travel professionals and influential media across nine cities along the Rhine. Flight capacity from Germany to Ireland will increase in April with the launch of a new direct flight from Frankfurt to Shannon with Discover Airlines, further improving access for German holidaymakers. Our event in Frankfurt Airport is a great opportunity to highlight that enhanced connectivity.”
